Welcome to the website of the 21st Mega International Tournament in Utrecht. The Mega International Tournament is the most important basketball tournament of SBU, which is held every year from Ascension Day on, with lots of parties and basketball. Around 50 teams participate in the MIT, 11 of which are SBU teams. The MIT is known to be a tournament with a good (international) setting and atmosphere. We also have good referees for the teams that play in the high leagues. This year the theme of the tournament is: Ghetto Fabulous!

The MIT 2010 program will be send through e-mail to every participating team after registration is complete. The program will also be included in the bag that every team gets when arriving and signing at Olympos at 3 P.M.

Attention Please! Every team has to be present AND signed in before 3.30 P.M! Let us know if you’re running late!

When?
The MIT will take place during the Ascension Day weekend. It starts Thursday May 13th 2010 in the afternoon and it ends sometime on Sunday May 16th.

What does it cost?
The MIT is so much more than just a basketball tournament. You’ll get four days of playing ball, a place to sleep, breakfast and lunch on all days, three evening meals, three amazing parties, transportation from the sports centre to the city centre and back on Friday evening/night, a shirt and tons of fun for only 55 euro per person. A team can have a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 players. When you are taking a non-playing coach or (a) fan(s) with you, they will only have to pay 50 euro per person. The total fee per team will have to be paid in advance.

A group booking is required for the entire team as players cannot book individually. You will have to pay for the amount of players in your team, plus the amount of fans and coach(es).

How can I sign up?
Registration is now possible! The registration closes on March 31st. Please note: we consider your registration to be final only after we have received the full(!) team fee.

You can deposit the sum on account number: 0074186, to SBU Mega International Tournament, Utrecht. Clearly list your team name in the same way you filled it in on the registration form. See the contact page for more information on our account and bank.

Furthermore, there is NO CAMPING allowed on the grounds of Olympos this year. Camping is not tolerated as it was in some previous years. Fortunately, we have a nice, warm, cosy gym for you to sleep in.
